SYSTEMTEC is seeking a Senior AI Engineer (Agentic Systems) for a hybrid opportunity, 3 days a week on-site in Columbia, SC. (Exceptionally qualified remote candidates may be considered.) The candidate will design, build, and operationalize production-ready generative AI agents while shaping standards, frameworks, and best practices for future AI initiatives across the organization.

Required Qualifications of the Senior AI Engineer (Agentic Systems):

• Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to provide sponsorship or work with Third-Party agencies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• 6+ years of experience in application development, systems engineering, or related technical roles, with 3+ years focused on AI/ML or generative AI solutions.
• Advanced proficiency in Python and experience developing, deploying, and supporting AI-driven systems in production environments.
• Strong background in cloud-native development, including containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and scalable AI infrastructure (AWS preferred).

Responsibilities of the Senior AI Engineer (Agentic Systems):

• Architect, develop, and deploy autonomous and agentic AI systems using modern frameworks and large language models.
• Build reusable AI frameworks, tools, and accelerators that enable rapid adoption of generative AI use cases across the enterprise.
• Integrate AI agents with backend services and APIs, ensuring reliability, scalability, and observability in production.
• Evaluate emerging agentic models, tools, and frameworks, and translate research into practical, secure solutions.
• Partner with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to define requirements, monitor agent behavior, and support responsible AI adoption.

Work Location: Hybrid on-site in Columbia, SC 3 days a week; Exceptionally qualified remote candidates may be considered.
