Job Title: Cloud Solutions Architect

Location: Remote

Client: RCC/GDIT/USPS

HOW A CLOUD SOLUTIONS ARCHITECT WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

• Providing in-depth knowledge in areas of requirements elicitation, stakeholder engagement, application design, programming, testing, documentation, implementation, maintenance, and management.
• Research, analyze, and evaluate existing and proposed business systems and procedures.
• Ensure that requirements are met and deliverable products comply with the CIO architecture and business needs.
• Develop requirements and identify system solutions in detailed measurable terms that achieve optimum performance and cost effectiveness.
• Writing architecture assessment documents.
• Understanding of scripting or coding skills, or tools (e.g., shell, Python, Ruby, PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation, Chef, or Puppet).
• Creation and submittal of reports, analysis, advice, studies, alternatives, evaluations, models, and/or similar documents

Required Experience:

• 15+ years of hands-on experience

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field or equivalent experience - not required.

Required skills:

• Strong proficiency in technical illustration using tools such as draw.io, Microsoft Visio, PowerPoint.
• Have practical experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Anthropic, agentic AI approaches.
• Must have current hands-on experience implementing cloud technology infrastructure, network, compute, storage, and virtualization.
• Expert knowledge of cloud services from one or more of the primary Cloud Service Providers (CSPs)(Amazon, Microsoft or Google), and the ability to integrate cloud services with on-premises technologies such as Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, HP, Linux, SAP, etc.
• Exhibit high level of technical competence in using operating environments, tools, and technologies commonly used in best-practice solution architectures.
• Strong communication skills including writing and presentation skills.
• Be able to develop technical briefings and present to leadership.
