Job Description:

To acquire the advantage, Zolon Tech is seeking a Database Engineer/Administrator to provide day-to-day support, maintenance, monitoring, patching, and troubleshooting for MS SQL Server and Oracle databases, as well as for federal-supported and hosted systems. Ensure Oracle patch releases are applied within 30 days of availability. Provide senior-level DBA support to enterprise Oracle and SQL databases—ability to guide junior and mid-level DBAs. Strong knowledge of Oracle and SQL architecture in different versions is a must.

Responsibilities:
Participate in tier3 support
Have a solid and thorough approach to tuning database problems
Knowledge of Oracle and SQL backup and recovery
Ability to work well in a DBA team with many members with various experience levels
Ability to spend a significant amount of time with application teams in helping them tune code running within databases
Demonstrated knowledge of emerging technologies, trends, & platforms
Operate and maintain the Oracle 12g and newer (current version) databases in a Windows or LINUX environment.
Operate and maintain MS SQL Server 2012 or newer (current version).
Migrate databases from Oracle to MS SQL Server and/or vice versa.
Use and maintain Oracle and MS SQL Server database performance analysis tools.
Manage database passwords for all applications.
Optimize and tune MS SQL queries.
Understand database Security in terms of User Roles, privileges, and Responsibilities for Applications.
Understand and use the Oracle Object model
Understand and apply Oracle/MS SQL Server Database management tools and utilities
Understand, Analyze, and manage Log files
Works with client's DBAs to implement and maintain a working Database environment using pluggable databases.
Report to the Program Manager if any issues occurred and provide weekly and monthly status updates related to Database activities.
Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, or other closely related discipline, and 5 years of Database Development experience, along with relevant certifications.

Extensive experience in design, modeling, and development using DB technologies like Oracle 12c/19, PL/SQL, SQL, Toad, PLSQL Developer, ETL, OLTP, OLAP, Query Tuning, and Optimization

Clearance Required: Active Secret
Certification Required: IAT Level II is currently preferred

Pay: $130,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
