Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled SAP Application Lead for a client looking to oversee and optimize SAP systems and related enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will lead IT-related workstreams and collaborate closely with external partners during the SAP S/4HANA implementation, while supporting project coordination activities as needed. After go-live, the position serves as the primary operational lead for SAP S/4HANA, IBP, EDI/IDoc, and RPA systems. The role combines hands-on application operations, vendor management, and cross-functional coordination, offering both project exposure and long-term operational stability.

Duties

  • Lead IT-related coordination and workstreams during the SAP S/4HANA implementation.
  • Collaborate with external partners and internal users to manage system activities.
  • Support project coordination tasks such as documentation, follow-up actions, and communication.
  • Oversee SAP S/4HANA application operations (SD/MM/FI/CO coordination level).
  • Manage IBP planning cycles, scheduled jobs, and basic master data synchronization.
  • Monitor EDI/IDoc workflows and perform initial troubleshooting before escalating to vendors.
  • Coordinate RPA bot operations and updates with automation vendors.
  • Manage issue triage, enhancements, and testing for application changes.
  • Maintain SOPs, operational documentation, and application runbooks.
  • Lead IT General Controls (ITGC) activities including access review support and change management coordination.
  • Prepare documentation for SOX/J-SOX audits
  • Track IT spending, review vendor invoices, and support the annual IT budget process.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3–6 years of experience supporting SAP ERP (ECC or S/4HANA).
  • Strong understanding of SAP SD, MM, or FI/CO processes.
  • Prior hands-on experience participating in SAP implementation projects.
  • Experience coordinating IT-related projects or enhancements and vendor management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with SOX/J-SOX ITGC processes.
  • Experience in multi-system environments involving integrations.
  • Experience with EDI/IDoc, IBP, and RPA implementations or system operations
  • Japanese language skills.

Pay: Up to $100,000.00 per year
