Full Stack Web Developer

HQ is a software development agency that builds web and mobile applications across a wide range of clients and industries. We've been in business for 10 years, we're bootstrapped, profitable, and have never laid anyone off. You won't be worrying about runway here. What you will be doing is shipping a high volume of meaningful work across diverse projects, which means you'll level up faster than almost any other job in the industry.

We use AI throughout our development process: Claude Code, Codex, agentic workflows, AI-assisted code review, automated test generation. We expect every developer on our team to be fluent in these tools or actively building fluency. We pair strong engineering fundamentals with AI leverage so you can do the work of a team by yourself.

What you'll be doing:

• Leading projects
• Planning architecture (with support)
• Producing a high volume of quality code, using AI-assisted development to move fast while maintaining standards.
• Creating estimates, hitting time targets.
• Code reviews - elevating & enforcing standards/ best practices
• Working closely with designers
• Building and maintaining testing strategies, including AI-augmented test generation and automated testing pipelines.
• Assisting junior developers and other team members

Technologies

• Experience with or strong motivation to master AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, or similar).
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and Node.
• The ability to evaluate, refactor, and improve AI-generated code rather than blindly shipping it.

Much of our team works hybrid in office/remote, although we have an amazing office in Ogden with 360° views of the mountains and city. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
