Overview
Sandhills Utility Services is hiring a Cybersecurity Analyst to protect enterprise and OT networks across our utility infrastructure. You’ll manage cybersecurity tools, enforce access controls, and oversee incident response activities. Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with IT/OT systems, Sophos MDR, and compliance frameworks like NIST 800-171.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage cybersecurity tools, including Sophos MDR, SIEM, EDR, and firewalls
• Protect SCADA and industrial networks from intrusion and unauthorized access
• Perform vulnerability remediation, patching, and hardening for Windows/Linux devices
• Audit and enforce access controls across enterprise and OT systems
• Respond to threats using MDR and incident response plans
• Train staff on cybersecurity best practices
• Ensure compliance with CUI/NIST requirements and CMMC guidelines

REQUIREMENTS

• 5+ years of cybersecurity experience in IT and/or OT environments
• 4-year degree in cybersecurity or related field
• Hands-on experience with Cisco devices, Linux (e.g., Ubuntu, Kali), and PowerShell
• Proficient with SolarWinds, M365 and Azure Security Center
• Familiar with NIST 800-171, CMMC, and CUI data protection
• Security+ certification required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with SCADA/ICS cybersecurity
• Certifications like CASP+, CISA, or CISM
• Familiarity with Zero Trust and vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Nessus)

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must pass background check and drug screening
• Valid NC driver's license and Real ID required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $94,000.00 - $102,000.00 per year
