About the Role

NCP is hiring a UX Designer to support a major digital modernization effort for a federal agency's online customer service platform. This initiative aims to streamline and improve how users interact with support services by providing a modern alternative to traditional call center operations.

As a UX Designer, you’ll help design intuitive, accessible, and responsive digital experiences that simplify how users get help and resolve issues. Your work will directly impact public service delivery at scale, contributing to improved satisfaction, faster resolution times, and a better user journey across digital touchpoints.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead UX design across web-based customer service applications focused on replacing or supplementing legacy call center workflows.
• Translate research insights and stakeholder input into wireframes, user flows, mockups, and functional prototypes.
• Create accessible, responsive designs that meet Section 508 and WCAG standards.
• Collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and researchers in agile sprints.
• Develop platform-agnostic UI modules that can be embedded across various agency systems and support integration with backend CRMs and automation tools.
• Participate in usability testing and continuously iterate based on user feedback and data.
• Ensure seamless handoff to developers and alignment between design specifications and final implementation.

Qualifications

Required:

• 4+ years of professional experience as a UX or Product Designer.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating UX/UI design for complex web-based applications.
• Experience designing for accessibility and mobile responsiveness.
• Familiarity with human-centered design, agile methodologies, and prototyping tools.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.
• U.S. Citizenship required with ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $115,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
