Job description
Role Synopsis:
- The Data Science & AI Delivery team focuses on machine learning solutions for a sustainable grid.
- Their work involves analytics and changes management across business areas.
- They prioritize data-driven decisions rather than traditional utility analytics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop scientific algorithms to analyse customer energy consumption.
- Build spatio-temporal models for Electric Vehicle adoption predictions.
- Conduct root-cause analysis, exploratory data analysis (EDA), and ML model error evaluation.
- Validate algorithms based on business and technical needs.
- Collaborate with domain experts and communicate insights to company leaders.
Basic Qualifications (Mandatory):
- Ph.D. in a quantitative field (Engineering, CS, Mathematics, Statistics, etc.).
- Experience with data science processes (model building, optimization, feature engineering).
- Expertise in spatio-temporal statistics, geospatial analysis, and ML techniques for large datasets.
- 2+ years of software development for timeseries and large-scale data feature extraction.
- Proficiency in Python and/or R.
Ability to design and maintain scalable scientific code.
- Strong knowledge of applied statistics and probability.
Desired Qualifications (Optional):
- Experience managing large datasets and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
- Industry experience in utilities, Electric Vehicle infrastructure, or grid integration.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: Up to $85.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
