Senior Azure DevOps Engineer – Fully Remote

Global Electronics Manufacturer

A cutting-edge global electronics manufacturer is seeking a Senior Azure DevOps Engineer for a fully remote position.

You'll be the visionary designing, developing, and implementing robust DevOps practices using Azure technologies—keeping us ahead of the curve. You'll collaborate closely with seasoned software and firmware engineers to support and evolve our enterprise platform.

Our customer applications span from Fortune 100 boardrooms to airports, stadiums, and theme parks. Your work will be foundational to our Enterprise Management System: a state-of-the-art web platform using the latest in AI for remote monitoring and management.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in development of our automated build and test infrastructure, with a strong focus on scalability, performance, and reliability.
  • Improve and streamline the development and deployment workflow for our software Dev and SQA teams.
  • Continuously improve the deployment process to increase efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in DevOps and automation.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth integration of new feature and release.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for deployment processes and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

B.E. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent. 7 years of work experience in a software development environment with a minimum of 5+ years in DevOps, Build and Release Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering roles. Excellent scripting skills in Groovy, JavaScript, Python and Linux shell scripts. Automation-focused perspective.

Required Skills

  • Strong background in Linux software development workflow and tools.
  • Strong background in Linux administration and application deployment.
  • Strong background in cloud platforms Azure and GCP.
  • Excellent knowledge in Azure DevOps.
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes and Helm to manage Kubernetes.
  • Experience with IaC tool – Bicep/Terraform. Bicep preferred.
  • Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, and Chef.
  • Experience in SCM tools like GitHub, Bitbucket or any git-based tools.
  • Experience in Grafana, Prometheus, Elasticsearch, or other monitoring/logging tools.
  • Experience with continuous integration and deployment of a microservice-based enterprise cloud application. Our platform is based on Azure Cloud, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Jenkins, RabbitMQ, and other standard tools.

Preferred Skills

  • Preferred experience with one or more of the following: Cloud-to-Cloud migration and Node.js.
  • Knowledge of MS Digital Twins.
  • Virtualization technologies such as VMWare, KVM, libvirt.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $146,904.00 - $156,522.00 per year
