Primary Role:

The Master Enterprise Architect position will be in support of a federal client, with the goal of providing technical/management leadership and guidance on major tasks or technology assignments and establishes goals and plans that meet project objectives.

You will direct and advise activities for a client, having overall responsibility for financial management, methods, and staffing to ensure that technical requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leads and manages EA tasks and deliverables across the full lifecycle of EA support: baseline development; target development; transition planning; implementation and segment architecture; EA governance; EA program management; EA communications; and EA tool use and management.
• Leads small teams in conducting advanced modeling and analytics within and across select architectural layers or views for large, complex organizations: strategy; business operations; data; applications, systems, and services; technology; and security.
• Applies appropriate EA methodologies, frameworks, and approaches to address NSF strategic, program and technology objectives and drive EA toward business results.
• Facilitates stakeholder work sessions focused on making enterprise-wide decisions that balance and prioritize competing interests of individual NSF stakeholder groups.
• Communicates the value and relevance of EA to senior NSF business executives, program officials, and other stakeholders. Provide support and direction for multi-annual OMB Submissions
• Work alongside C-Level employees to roadmap and apply appropriate EA methodologies, frameworks, and approaches to address strategic, program and technology objectives and drive EA toward business results

Experience

• 9+ years of relevant hands-on technical experience in an Agile/DevOps enterprise environment.
• 10+ years of experience applying established architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) to define enterprise standards, governance models, and compliance-aligned future-state architectures; relevant architecture certifications preferred.
• Experience leading and managing a team of SME’s/Architects
• Experience establishing and leading Architecture Centers of Excellence, ensuring consistency and quality of architecture artifacts, and driving alignment across divisions and architecture domains as EA maturity evolves.
• Hands-on expertise in one or more core domains, including Data Architecture, AWS-based Cloud Platforms, Microservices, and API-led architectures, with a strong track record of architecting scalable, real-world solutions.
• Demonstrable senior-level expertise in the following disciplines: Cloud Services and Solutions; Database Administration and Development; Analytical Sciences; Information Technology Governance; Information Security; Information Technology Resource Management; Business Case Development; Business Process Design; Strategic Planning; and Business Functions.
• Experience building AI strategy and architecture

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or related field.
