Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the kitchen, assisting in the preparation of high-quality meals while maintaining food safety standards. Duties

• Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, slicing, and measuring food items according to recipes and menu specifications.
• Assist in the assembly and presentation of dishes for service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including proper storage of food items.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe cooking environment.
• Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including knives and other food preparation tools.
• Support menu planning by providing input on seasonal ingredients and dish ideas.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a restaurant or catering environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with dietary department practices is a plus.
• Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety regulations is essential.
• Strong knife skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills are required to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff.
• A passion for cooking and an eagerness to learn about menu planning and culinary techniques.
