Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Information Technology to lead our IT department and drive the strategic direction of our technology initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of IT infrastructure, software development, and information security, along with excellent leadership and communication skills. This role requires a proactive approach to managing technology resources, ensuring business continuity, and fostering innovation within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement IT strategies that align with business goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the management of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and cloud computing environments (AWS, Azure).
  • Administer M365, internal SaaS tools and core IT systems.
  • Own patching, backups, system monitoring and documentation.
  • Lead software development projects using Agile methodologies, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
  • Manage information security protocols to protect company data and comply with NIST standards.
  • Direct vendor management activities to optimize partnerships and ensure service level agreements are met.
  • Establish disaster recovery and business continuity planning processes to minimize downtime.
  • Implement and manage company-wide cybersecurity policies, tooling and BCP/DR response plans focusing on infrastructure and SDLC.
  • Support technical compliance efforts (e.g., SOC 2 Type 2, GDPR, HIPPA).
  • Assist with internal audits, risk assessments, and vulnerability management.
  • Serve as the point of contact for IT issues and incidents
  • Build and maintain infrastructure automation (PowerShell, Bash, Terraform, or equivalent).
  • Own backup/disaster recovery planning and testing.
  • Interface with Engineering, GRC, Security, and Operations teams to support corporate infrastructure along with product and platform delivery.
  • Onboard/Offboard and support employees with reliable tools and systems.

Skills

  • Deep hand-on experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure), networking, identity, and system admin.
  • 7+ years of progressive IT experience, with at least 2 years in leadership or strategic role.
  • Experience supporting SaaS environments and DevOps teams.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices and IT compliance frameworks (SOC2, ISO 27001, etc.)
  • Knowledge of IT governance frameworks and risk management principles; experience in budgeting for IT projects is beneficial.
  • Proven leadership capabilities with experience in project management and change management within an IT context.
  • Effective communication skills to convey technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders; ability to lead cross-functional teams.

Preferred :

  • Experience in small-to-mid size SaaS company or startup
  • Certifications: CISSP, AWS Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified, or similar.
  • Experience with automation/scripting (PowerShell, Python, Terraform, etc.)
  • Familiarity with MDM, EDR, and cloud security tools.

Pay: $140,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
