Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Fabrication CADmep Database Administrator to manage and optimize our CADmep content for MEP fabrication. You will ensure parts, assemblies, and templates are accurate, standardized, and aligned with project requirements, supporting efficient modeling, detailing, and fabrication workflows.

Duties

  • Maintain and update CADmep fabrication database (parts, assemblies, labor, material data, HPH list pricing).
  • Enforce content standards, naming conventions, and best practices.
  • Audit database for accuracy, consistency, and performance.
  • Support VDC, detailing, and fabrication teams with content and troubleshooting.
  • Implement updates and integrate content with fabrication software and ERP systems.
  • Maintain database backup files.
  • Regular attendance at work is an essential duty.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
  • Conform to company Quality, Environmental, and Safety policies, and comply with applicable laws, regulations, and standards.

Experience

  • Proficient in Autodesk Fabrication CADmep (ESTmep a plus).
  • Strong knowledge of MEP fabrication workflows (piping).
  • Experience managing CADmep or similar fabrication databases.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Familiarity with Trimble/Revit/ACC and CADmep automation is a plus.

Education, Experience, and Training:

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered.

Experience: 3–6 years of experience using AutoDesk, Revit, sheet metal, structural steel, or fabrication-focused environment.

Training: None.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Occasional standing, walking, and visits to fabrication shops or job sites.
