Onward Search is a specialized staffing and talent solutions company that helps professionals find top jobs with the nation’s leading brands. We’re hiring a Design System Strategist for a fully remote opportunity based in New York, NY. This is a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension.
Join our client’s team as a Design System Strategist, where you’ll play a pivotal role in harmonizing design practices across patient enrollment and support workflows. You’ll analyze, consolidate, and enhance design systems to craft scalable, patient-focused solutions within the Global Innovative Medicine Design System. In this role, you will lead a comprehensive gap analysis, define a clear path for integration, and develop reusable templates and guidelines to elevate efficiency, consistency, and quality across patient support initiatives.
This position has no application deadline.
Design System Strategist Responsibilities:
Conduct an in-depth gap analysis of current design systems to pinpoint overlaps, redundancies, and growth opportunities.
Formulate a strategic plan to integrate and advance these systems within the Global Innovative Medicine Design System.
Lead the execution of the integration strategy, working closely with cross-functional product and design teams.
Develop governance models, standards, and guidelines to ensure widespread adoption and scalability.
Design templates and patterns that enhance patient enrollment and support workflows, ensuring a consistent user experience across all touchpoints while allowing for local customization.
Collaborate with designers, developers, and product leaders to ensure system and initiative alignment.
Advocate for design systems, fostering adoption and best practices across teams.
Design System Strategist Qualifications:
Proven expertise in managing, strategizing, and implementing design systems.
Proficiency in Figma or similar design and documentation tools.
Strong UX/UI design background, preferably in healthcare, pharma, or complex enterprise environments.
Experience in defining templates, design standards, and governance models.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence across teams.
Experience in pharmaceutical patient support or enrollment workflows (preferred).
Familiarity with Salesforce platform design (preferred).
Success in consolidating or evolving multiple design systems into a unified framework (preferred).
