Job Summary:
The Full-Stack Developer is proactive, skilled and the first technical hire in an early-stage startup focused on building a CRM platform for the home improvement industry. This unique opportunity will help shape a product from the ground up, making critical architectural and technical decisions alongside a non-technical founder. The Full-Stack Developer must be versatile, self-driven, and excited about turning a clear product vision into a scalable MVP.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain both frontend and backend components of a web-based CRM
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in making key architectural decisions (tech stack, hosting, APIs, databases, etc.).
- Implement RESTful APIs to enhance application functionality.
- Manage version control using GitHub for efficient code collaboration.
- Conduct to ensure optimal performance.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain high-quality standards within the team.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to continually improve skills.

Qualifications:
- Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, or similar)
- Backend experience with , Vercel, and Supabase
- Familiar with databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB
- Comfortable deploying to Vercel
- Experience with version control systems like GitHub
- Familiarity with cloud services like AWS, Supabase, and Vercel for application deployment and management.
- Strong understanding of RESTful services and API development.
- Knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
- Experience building SaaS products or CRMs is a big plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills; you can explain technical topics to non-technical people.
Skills/Competencies:
- Full-Stack Development Proficiency: Strong hands-on experience with both frontend (e.g., React, Vue) and backend (e.g., , Django) technologies, including RESTful API design and database integration.
- Technical Leadership & Autonomy: Ability to make architectural decisions, choose appropriate tools and technologies, and guide product development independently as the first technical hire.
- Problem Solving & Adaptability: Skilled at diagnosing issues, debugging, and optimizing code, with the flexibility to pivot and iterate in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Communication & Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stake holders and work closely with the founder and future team members.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting/standing at a desk and working on a computer. Few opportunities to relax during shifts; frequent walking, standing, arm and wrist rotation, writing, reading, typing; bending, reaching, twisting, squatting, crouching, kneeling, pushing, pulling, gripping, grasping, lifting, and carrying at least 10 pounds.
