IT Manager
Strawbridge Studios Inc
Permanent | Full-time
Durham, NC
Job description
Local candidates only. Sponsorship is not available for this role.
As a stand-alone IT Manager, you will be the sole architect and executor of the company’s technology strategy. Reporting directly to the Owner, you will bridge the gap between high-level strategic planning and daily hands-on technical support. This role is perfect for a generalist who enjoys total ownership of an environment—from configuring a switch to leading the company through rigorous cybersecurity certifications.
Key ResponsibilitiesSecurity & Compliance Leadership
- Audit Readiness: Lead the effort to achieve and maintain ISO 9001 compliance by ensuring IT processes meet international quality standards.
- Framework Management: Implement and manage the controls required for CMMC (Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification) and PCI-DSS compliance.
- Identity Management: Manage Okta Security for SSO, MFA, and lifecycle management to ensure a "Zero Trust" posture.
Systems & Infrastructure (Hands-on)
- Microsoft 365 Stack: Serve as the primary administrator for the full M365 suite (Teams, SharePoint, Exchange, and Azure AD/Entra ID).
- Network & Hardware: Maintain all physical infrastructure, including servers, firewalls, Wi-Fi, and workstations.
- Help Desk: Provide direct support to all employees for hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
Strategy & Integration
- ERP Management: Act as the technical lead for ERP maintenance, updates, and integration with third-party software.
- Strategic Roadmapping: Partner with the Owner to identify, budget for, and implement new technologies that drive manufacturing efficiency.
- Vendor Management: Negotiate and manage relationships with ISPs, hardware vendors, and software providers.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of IT experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Compensation is based on experience and the company is interested in both up-and-comers and in seasoned pros.
- Technical Breadth: Deep knowledge of M365, Windows Server, Networking (VLANs, VPNs), and Virtualization.
- Compliance Knowledge: Proven experience with or a strong understanding of CMMC, PCI, and ISO 9001 frameworks.
- Security Tools: Direct experience with Okta or similar Identity and Access Management (IAM) tools.
- Mindset: A "no task too small" attitude. You are equally comfortable crawling under a desk to cable a PC as you are presenting a security budget to the Owner.
Why This Role?
This is a rare opportunity to work for an Owner who views IT not as an expense, but as a competitive advantage. You will have the autonomy to build the department in your image and the resources to ensure the company stays at the forefront of manufacturing technology.
