Job description

**Applicants must be local to Buffalo, NY. This is NOT a remote position and there is no relocation package.
Join our team at Hamister Group! We are hiring an experienced and detail-oriented IT Systems Administrator to maintain, upgrade, and support our technology infrastructure.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure.
  • Install, configure, test, and maintain servers, networks, and related systems.
  • Ensure security best practices, including user access control, firewalls, and backups.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively identify and address potential issues.
  • Create and maintain documentation of system configurations, procedures, and policies.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to staff.
Qualifications:
  • Not a remote position, must be local to Buffalo, NY.
  • Prior experience as a Systems Administrator, Desktop Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and/or Linux environments.
  • Experience with virtualization, cloud services, and networking concepts.
  • Familiarity with backup and recovery tools.
  • Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
  • Relevant certifications (Network+, Security+, Microsoft) preferred.
