Position: Part Time Database Administrator (DBA)
Location: Remote (Preferably U.S. Mid-Atlantic)

Job Overview:
We are seeking a Part-Time (20hrs per week) Database Administrator to join our team and contribute to the development and support of customized software solutions for our clients. This is a part-time position offering an opportunity to work in a collaborative, agile environment where your skills will directly impact our clients’ technological advancements.
Responsibilities:
· Security Patching which includes Oracle, Tomcat, and NGINX webserver
· SSL certificate generation and recertification
· ATO certification and other process for the application (System Controls, Configuration management, Policy)
· Monthly and Bi-weekly system reporting
· Dev, Testing, and Production environment for deployments
· Java software development for application. (API and 2 factor).
· Linux/UNIX shell scripting
· Daily Monitoring of Production
· Installing and configuring the Oracle and Application software on RedHat Linux.
· Acquiring and installing an SSL Certificate
· Obtaining ATOs
· Importing data from production environments
· Transferring attachments and files from current Productions
· Testing connectivity
· Deploying current data to Production
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Position may be eligible for U.S. Federal Government security clearance. This includes a valid U.S. Citizenship and will require proof of citizenship during the onboarding process.
- Proficiency in Java and Java EE.
- Familiarity with frameworks and tools such as Spring, Hibernate, PrimeFaces, and JSF.
- Understanding of relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL preferred).
- Basic knowledge of version control systems, preferably Git and GitLab.
- Exposure to Agile methodologies.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with application servers and web application servers.
- Familiarity with project tracking tools like Jira.
- Knowledge of Unix-based systems.
