Gardens by the Yard is the only landscape design, build and maintenance company in the Greater and MetroWest Boston area that has won Angie's List Super Service Awards 14 years in a row. We have plenty of exciting work. We invest in training. We value personal time away from work. We don't mow lawns.

We are seeking team members to work in our native and natural gardens practice, stewarding healthy habitats for pollinators, wildlife, and people.

TEAM MEMBER -- Works on teams performing landscape installation and maintenance. Many of our projects are natural gardens which involve native plants, pollinator gardens and lawn alternatives.

A typical work day includes grading, building new beds, planting, mulching, transplanting, nurturing plant communities, and irrigation -- you don't need experience in all these areas. There is some landscape maintenance work, especially during spring and fall clean-ups. Training is provided in all cases.

TEAM MEMBER EXPERIENCE:

Must have some professional landscaping experience.
Excellent communication skills
Desire to learn and implement new approaches

Desirable experience operating equipment (Bobcats, Dingo, and mini-excavators)
Ability to maintain equipment

Based in Natick, the work is mostly in Wayland, Sudbury, Natick, Weston, Wellesley, Newton, Brookline, and Lincoln.

All candidates must be physically fit, enthusiastic to learn, work well as a team member, and enjoy working outside under various weather conditions. You must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, cell phone with texting.

Salary is based on experience with opportunities for growth.
