Job Description: Junior Developer

Position Summary

The Junior Developer supports the development, maintenance, and enhancement of internal systems and applications. This role works within defined systems and platforms, using modern tools (including AI-assisted workflows) to help generate accurate, efficient, and reliable technical outputs. The Junior Developer will focus on writing, reviewing, and improving code, working with structured data, and supporting senior developers on larger initiatives while building foundational technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities

Application & Systems Support

• Assist in the development and maintenance of internal applications and system integrations.
• Use AI-assisted tools to help generate, refine, and validate technical solutions based on established system requirements and data structures.
• Review AI-generated outputs for accuracy, logic, and alignment with business and technical standards.

Programming & Development

• Write, test, and debug basic code primarily using JavaScript.
• Support enhancements, bug fixes, and small feature development under guidance from senior developers.
• Follow coding standards, documentation practices, and version control procedures.

Data & Database Interaction

• Work with relational databases to query, insert, and update data using SQL.
• Manipulate and validate structured data formats, including JSON, XML, and CSV.
• Assist with data imports, exports, and basic data integrity checks.

Problem Solving & Learning

• Troubleshoot technical issues and participate in root-cause analysis.
• Ask thoughtful questions, research solutions, and apply feedback to improve work quality.
• Continually build technical skills through hands-on experience, documentation, and training.

Qualifications

Required

• Basic understanding of programming concepts, particularly JavaScript.
• Familiarity with relational databases and SQL fundamentals.
• Experience or comfort working with structured data formats (JSON, XML, CSV).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness and ability to learn new systems, tools, and technologies.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred

• Exposure to version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Familiarity with APIs or system integrations
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools responsibly and effectively.

Internship, coursework, or project experience in software development.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
