Part-Time Database Manager

Part-Time Database Manager:

Church of the Shepherd is seeking a highly organized and tech-savvy person to help maintain and strengthen our church database systems. This role ensures our Planning Center system is accurate, organized, and used consistently so that staff and volunteers can better connect with people and coordinate ministry.

This position works closely with staff to improve systems, train users, and maintain a clean, reliable database.

Approximately 10 hours per week with a flexible schedule. Some meetings during business hours are required, including occasional Wednesday morning staff meetings. Most work can be completed remotely.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create written standards for Planning Center and train/hold staff accountable to the standards.
• Train staff in the use of Planning Center.
• Clean-up existing database and maintain its organization going forward.
• Additional opportunities (social media, communications) available depending on experience and interest.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Faith in Christ and a commitment to the mission of the Church of the Shepherd.
• Strong computer experience.
• Experience with Planning Center or other database / CRM systems is preferred but not required.
• Ability to resolve conflict in healthy ways and adapt to changing needs.
• Strong communication (verbal and written).
• Successful completion of a background check and Safe Gatherings training is required.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 15 per week
