We are needing a caregiver for days shifts Monday through Friday 2p-7p/2p-6p. The assistance is for a couple in Port Lavaca. She is needing assistance with hands-on transfers, light housekeeping, meal prep, and medication reminders. He has dementia and is needing assistance with re-direction and queuing for daily tasks.

Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This position requires a commitment to patient care and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.

Duties

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.

• Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the client's quality of life.

• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning and preparation.

• Maintain cleanliness in the client's living environment, including light housekeeping duties.

• Support clients with mobility challenges using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary.

• Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote cognitive function and social interaction.

• Document patient observations and report any concerns to healthcare professionals or family members.

• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality.

Requirements

• Previous experience in caregiving is a plus.

• Ability to perform heavy lifting when assisting clients with mobility or transfers.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

• Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
