Senior Developer (Substance Abuse Treatment Industry)

About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Developer to join our team onsite in Boca Raton. This role is ideal for a technically strong, hands-on developer who has deep, demonstrated knowledge of the substance abuse treatment industry and has built or supported systems within behavioral health environments.
This is not a purely technical role. The right candidate must understand how treatment centers actually operate—from admissions and utilization review to clinical documentation, compliance, billing workflows, and outcomes tracking—and be able to translate those real-world needs into scalable, secure technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain custom applications that support substance abuse treatment operations
- Build and enhance full-stack solutions that integrate clinical, operational, and business workflows
- Architect and manage cloud-based infrastructure using AWS
- Develop and maintain integrations with Salesforce and other enterprise platforms
- Collaborate with clinical, operational, and executive leadership to translate business needs into technical solutions
- Ensure systems align with compliance, data security, and privacy requirements common in behavioral health settings
- Optimize performance, scalability, and reliability of internally developed tools
- Serve as a senior technical resource and thought partner across the organization
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Senior-level development experience (typically 7+ years)
- Strong background as a Senior Developer and/or Full-Stack Developer
- Hands-on experience with:
- AWS
- Salesforce
- Custom application development
- In-depth knowledge of the substance abuse treatment industry is REQUIRED
- This may include experience working with or building systems for detox, residential, PHP, IOP, or OP programs
- Familiarity with clinical workflows, admissions processes, utilization review, compliance, and/or billing is essential
- Proven ability to explain and demonstrate how technology supports real-world treatment operations
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Pay: $180,000.00 - $300,000.00 per year
