Fairlane Products

Full-time

Fraser, MI

Job description

Position Summary: Micro-Tech Endoscopy Americas seeks a Director of Information Technology to provide our rapidly growing organization both strategic leadership and hands-on execution. In this role you will own day-to-day operations, infrastructure, cybersecurity, service delivery, and vendor management while leading high-impact global projects in partnership with colleagues in Nanjing, China. You will plan and execute change, translate technical requirements into business language for diverse audiences, and standardize process/SOPs to enable scale. The Director of IT will drive the Feishu/Lark adoption in the US, integrate global systems and standards into local workflows, and build a reliable, secure, and scalable environment that enables growth.

Ideal candidates are exceptional communicators. We seek a servant-leader: someone who pairs strategic judgment with hands-on execution, operates comfortably at multiple altitudes, and aligns technical teams and business stakeholders across regions. You have recent experience leading global rollouts, standing up practical processes, and guiding a lean team through change in a high-growth environment. If this sounds like you, please apply today!

Key Responsibilities

· IT Operations & Support: Oversee infrastructure, networks, hardware, software, and ITMS/help desk services across all Micro-Tech Americas (MTAm) sites, ensuring reliability, security, and a seamless user experience; tighten distribution-list governance; manage identity and endpoint standards and support off-hours collaboration with China/US/Latam time zones.

· Strategy & Innovation: Develop and execute the IT roadmap, including system upgrades, AI initiatives, and emerging technology opportunities that support business growth; include global collaboration platforms and process standardization via SOPs/playbooks to enable scale.

· Cybersecurity & Compliance: Lead security and disaster recovery; ensure data/privacy compliance, put simple, ready-to-use incident plans in place to reduce risk; and manage data-residency and sharing for work with international teams.

· Financial & Vendor Management: Manage IT budgets, vendor relationships, and third-party contracts to maximize value and efficiency; drive vendor consolidation where practical, and report total cost of ownership and renewal risk.

· Leadership & Collaboration: Lead and develop the IT team, set clear goals/KPIs, and partner with cross-functional and global colleagues (US, China, Europe) to align priorities and drive organizational success; act as an “interpreter” between technical teams and business leaders, lead change management for global rollouts.

· Projects & Process Improvement: Provide technical leadership on key global and Americas led IT initiatives, establish effective processes (e.g., security, data, networks, document management), and act as an internal consultant to improve efficiency and enable automation; own program/project management discipline, lead the recently implemented Feishu/Lark rollout and adoption in the U.S., and create/maintain SOPs for repeatable operations.

· Communication & Training: Translate complex IT concepts into plain language and lead change management; providing training, documentation, and presentations as needed; deliver adoption plans and measurable outcomes for major changes, tailored training for executives/frontline teams, and concise status reporting for global stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, or related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive IT experience, including 3+ years in a people-lead role; hands-on across infrastructure, networks, cloud, cybersecurity, hardware, and backup technologies.
  • Managed IT budgets and vendors, delivered 2 or more large-scale global systems implementations in the past 3 years, including cross-border work between a US entity and a non-US owner/subsidiary.
  • Completed a collaboration platform migration in the past 3 years (e.g. Feishu/Lark, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace) with documented adoption and training outcomes.
  • Proven success supporting rapid scale (e.g. 2x headcount or revenue within 2-3 years).
  • Willing and able to support off-hours collaboration with China time zones.
  • Ability to develop IT strategy in business terms and drive change with executives, frontline staff, and global partners.
  • Strong communication and emotional intelligence.
