<Job Summary>
Confluence is looking for an experienced lead developer for its automated trading initiative. This is an exciting oppurtunity to lead a project from the ground up with a high level of control. The ideal candidate should have 3+ years using Natural Language Processing to generate low latency trade signals from headlines, research, and or large bodies of text at a trading firm or hedge fund. Their work has made it into production trading and has successfully been generating revenue. They are a self starter who can lead all parts of development up to and including production. They should have deep knowledge of machine learning tools as well as familiarity with modern AI models. They should have experience as well creating rigorous evaluation systems for their models.

<Responsibilities>

• Design and implement low-latency NLP / LLM trading signals
• Take models from concept through production trading
• Build rigorous evaluation and performance measurement frameworks
• Collaborate with the existing quantitative trading team and discretionary traders to refine signals and deployment

<Skills>

• 3+ years of experience applying NLP / LLM techniques to trading at a hedge fund or proprietary trading firm
• Demonstrated track record of models that:
• Reached live production and Generated Measurable Revenue
• Strong programming and engineering skills
• Deep familiarity with modern machine learning tooling and contemporary AI / LLM architectures
• Self-directed, ownership-oriented, and comfortable operating with real P&L responsibility

Pay: $200,000.00 - $300,000.00 per year
