Job Title: IT Operations Manager
Location: Rochester, NY – Headquarters & Multiple Sites
Department: Information Technology
Reports To: Chief Information Officer (CIO)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Starting Wage: $90,000-$110,000 annual salary

Your Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead IT daily operations including network stability, end-user support, and help desk oversight.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop IT staff while fostering a culture of accountability and growth.
  • Manage IT budgets, purchasing, and department administrative duties.
  • Implement and refine IT operational processes to improve infrastructure management, security, and efficiency.
  • Partner with the CIO on multi-year initiatives, advancing IT practices, team development, and information security.
  • Prepare to assume senior IT leadership responsibilities through continued learning, results, and demonstrated performance.

What You Bring:

  • 3–5 years of supervisory or management experience in IT, including performance management, hiring, and staff development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; proven ability to collaborate and influence across leadership levels.
  • Broad knowledge of enterprise technology (networking, Wi-Fi, Microsoft Suite, data center operations).
  • Understanding of IT operational processes including help desk, monitoring, patching, and backup best practices.
  • General knowledge of Information Security principles.
  • Strong skills in logic, planning, organization, and decision-making.
  • Commitment to ongoing development, with the ability to grow into senior IT executive responsibilities over 2–4 years.
