Database Administrator (onsite, NAS Pax River, MD and Dahlgren, VA)
Innovative Technologies Corporation (ITC) is currently seeking multiple Advanced, Intermediate, and Basic Database Administrators to support a proposal we are bidding on. Must have U.S. Navy’s Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF) experience.
Functional Responsibility/Principal Duties: Plan, implement, upgrade, or monitor security measures for the protection of computer networks and information. Assess system vulnerabilities for security risks and propose and implement risk mitigation strategies. May ensure appropriate security controls are in place that will safeguard digital files and vital electronic infrastructure. Administer, test, and implement computer databases, applying knowledge of database management systems. Coordinate changes to computer databases. Identify, investigate, and resolve database performance issues, database capacity, and database scalability. May plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard computer databases.
The position is onsite at Naval Air Station Patuxent River, MD and at corporate offices in Dahlgren, VA in support of the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Digital Networks & Applications (DNA) Department and associated programs; onsite classified work and travel is to be expected. This is a contingent hire and may require a Letter of Commitment. The role is expected to be available in late August or September 2025, and will report to the Principal Program Manager or their designated representative (SASSS054-70, approved 13 May 2025).
Education Required:
* Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science, from an ABET accredited or CAE designated institution.
Experience Required:
* 2 to 10+ years experience in database administration; U.S. Navy experience is a bonus
* CompTIA Security+ CE
* One or more Database Certificates (e.g. MS, Oracle, IBM, AWS Database, Linux)
* Experience in the U.S. Navy’s Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF) - (CSWF – Advanced, CSWF – Intermediate, CSWF – Basic)
* Expertise in oral and written English communications skills
* Advanced skills in the Microsoft Office environment is essential (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, SharePoint)
Clearance Required:
* DoD Active TS/SCI clearance (no SECRET or Public Trust)
Desired/Preferred Qualifications:
* One of the following certifications: CCNA Security, CySA+ **, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP and an OS/CE Certification/Qualification Achieved
* Understanding of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Framework
* Experience in working with DoD or U.S. Navy Program Executive Offices (PEO)
The SASSS Team will provide the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Digital Networks & Applications (DNA) Department with various types of support including program/project management, business intelligence and advanced data analytics, data architecture, design, engineering and visualization, application development and maintenance, emerging technologies, collaboration frameworks, IT operations and system integration, software, web and database administration, document management, business process management and improvement.

Salary: $90,000.00 - $145,000.00 based on experience, plus medical/dental/vision benefits, 13 days PTO and 7 days sick time; other benefits available. Salary potentially negotiable.
