Role Overview:
We’re looking for a motivated Data Scientist to join our analytics and data engineering team. In this role, you’ll work at the intersection of data modeling, analytics, and business operations — leveraging tools like BigQuery, Fivetran, and Retool to build scalable pipelines, create insights, and empower stakeholders with actionable data.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines using Fivetran and BigQuery to support reliable, real-time analytics.
Develop and maintain data models and dashboards in Retool to provide self-service reporting and decision support to teams across Fundwell.
Perform exploratory data analysis and advanced analytics to identify trends, opportunities, and improvements within our underwriting and customer operations.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define KPIs, build metrics, and ensure data integrity.
Partner closely with engineering and AI/ML teams to ensure data availability and consistency across systems.
Continuously improve data processes, documentation, and best practices.
What We’re Looking For:
Hands-on experience with BigQuery or other cloud data warehouses.
Proficiency with ETL tools like Fivetran or similar modern data integration tools.
Strong SQL skills and a solid understanding of data modeling concepts.
Experience building internal tools or dashboards with platforms like Retool is a plus.
Ability to translate complex data into clear insights and recommendations for business teams.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Compensation Range: $110K - $160K
