IT Manager I
Responsibilities of the IT Manager I:
- Manage the entire IT Inventory process: methods, procedures, inventory, productivity, aging, documentation, and sourcing for Admin.
- Document and maintain existing technology inventory inside the agency. This includes but is not limited to identifying current surplus in need of disposal, physical inventory of devices, asset tagging, etc.
- Assist customers with inventory problems and provide management with inventory reports on a regular basis.
- Document and define Asset procedures and processes. Seek to identify and implement process improvement opportunities.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
- A bachelor's degree and experience in computer science or a related field. A combination of relevant experience and education may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis.
- Knowledge of the principles and concepts of asset management.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to plan and organize technology inventory and deployment.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Ability to work with Vendors under deadlines.
- Knowledge of Service Now preferred.
- Knowledge of state surplus process preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Asset Management or inventory control experience preferred.
