Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing our development and operational processes, ensuring seamless integration and deployment of applications. You will work closely with software developers, system operators, and other IT staff to manage code releases and automate processes, contributing to the overall efficiency of our IT projects.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with development teams to understand application requirements and design efficient deployment strategies.
- Implement and manage cloud infrastructure solutions to support scalable applications.
- Utilize tools such as GitLab for version control and CI/CD pipelines to streamline development workflows.
- Write scripts in languages like Perl for automation of repetitive tasks and debugging processes.
- Manage configuration using Terraform to ensure consistent environments across development, testing, and production.
- Monitor application performance and troubleshoot issues in collaboration with software quality assurance teams.
- Participate in Agile methodologies such as Scrum to enhance project management efficiency.
- Maintain Active Directory for user management and access control within the infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with security protocols while managing deployments and infrastructure.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role in IT project management.
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Proficiency in debugging applications and troubleshooting issues effectively.
- Familiarity with version control systems, particularly GitLab.
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum practices.
- Basic understanding of web servers such as Tomcat.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
