Position Overview
At ClowdCover working as a senior engineer you will play a crucial role in providing technical support and maintaining the stability of our clients' IT environment. This role is responsible for the design, implementation, and support of scalable, secure, and highly available cloud-based solutions. You will serve as a subject matter expert in Microsoft cloud services, leading complex migrations, managing modern workplace environments, and optimizing cloud infrastructure to meet business needs. Key Responsibilities
o Architect and manage Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Intune, and Defender for M365.
o Lead the migration of on-premises systems to Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.
o Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell and RMM tools to streamline deployments and administrative tasks.
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support application integration, disaster recovery planning, and identity management via Azure Active Directory.
o Proactive Monitoring: Monitor client networks, systems, and applications using various tools and technologies. Identify and address potential issues before they impact the client's operations.
o Infrastructure Maintenance: Configure, maintain, and optimize network infrastructure, servers, and storage systems. Implement routine updates and patches to ensure system security and performance.
o Client Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with clients; providing updates on support tickets, resolving technical issues, and offering recommendations for system improvements.
o Documentation: Keep detailed records of configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps. Contribute knowledge base articles to facilitate the resolution of recurring issues.
o Security Compliance: Assist in ensuring that client systems comply with the best security practices and regulatory requirements. Implement security measures and conduct regular vulnerability assessments.
Qualifications
o 4+ years of experience in IT infrastructure or cloud engineering roles, with a strong focus on Microsoft 365 and Azure.
o Deep expertise in Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, Intune, Autopilot
o Possess ability to engineer, integrate, design and deploy various Windows components and expert knowledge in Active Directory, Group Policy, digital certificates, multi factor integration, DNS and DHCP.
o Proficiency in operating systems, networking protocols, and hardware troubleshooting.
o Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
o Must be fluent in the inner workings and detailed configurations of the Microsoft 365 cloud and Microsoft Azure.
o Experience with SMB and enterprise networks. Fortinet, Cisco, Meraki, Ubiquiti, etc.
o Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
o Excellent communication and customer service skills.
o Relevant industry certifications (e.g. Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Microsoft 365 Enterprise Administrator Expert, and Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are a plus.
