Remote IT Support – Mac Specialist (Part-Time, As-Needed)

Compensation: $1,000/month base for up to 40 hours, with bonus pay available for additional hours.

New Direction Partner Solutions is seeking a flexible, dependable Remote IT Support Specialist to provide basic Mac support for our team. This is a remote, part-time, on-call position perfect for someone looking to earn extra income with minimal ongoing time requirements.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide Mac-related troubleshooting and support via chat, email, or remote access
• Answer simple “how-to” questions (e.g., printer issues, shortcuts, app setups)
• Log issues and resolutions in a shared support platform
• Respond to requests during your designated “on-call” time
• Access our secure remote system to assist users directly

Compensation Structure

• Base Pay: $1,000/month covers availability and up to 40 total hours per month
• Bonus Pay: Additional $500 per 20-hour block beyond 40 hours

(Note: additional time is not prorated. 41 hours = $1,500 that month)

• Most months will likely require less than 20 hours of actual support

Ideal Candidate

• Knows their way around Mac OS like it’s their native language
• Has excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Wants a low-maintenance side gig with steady monthly income
• Comfortable using remote support tools
• Has a reliable internet connection and a private working space

Requirements

• Experience with Mac systems and basic troubleshooting
• Must pass a background check
• Must maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA-compliant practices (we’ll train you if needed)
