Software Configuration Management (CM) Specialist
Location: Onsite – Sterling, VA
Clearance Required: Active TS/SCI
Elevate Technology Solutions is seeking a skilled and driven Software Configuration Management (CM) Specialist to support a mission-critical program in a high-security government environment. This full-time, onsite role in Sterling, VA, requires a TS/SCI clearance and hands-on experience with modern DevSecOps practices, deployment automation, and configuration management in cloud-hosted environments.
Responsibilities:
Manage bundling, versioning, and tracking of software configuration items across multiple deployed environments.
Own and maintain deployment processes for multiple operational sites with varying software build configurations.
Maintain configuration and version control documentation across the software release cycle.
Support configuration management for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) in a Kubernetes-based architecture.
Interface with cross-functional teams (architecture, development, test, infrastructure) in an Agile environment.
Required Skills & Experience:
Strong proficiency with:
Artifactory
GitLab
Jira (creating releases, tracking issues, generating release notes)
Helm (configuration and chart management)
SharePoint
Confluence or similar collaboration platforms
Understanding of branching strategies and software release versioning
Experience deploying full stack solutions in a C2S or similar cloud environment
Familiarity with automated deployment tools
Desired Skills:
Experience with:
SonarQube
Xray
Microsoft Office Suite (Project, Visio, Excel)
Background in DevSecOps or SecDevOps
Full life cycle Agile software development experience
