<Responsibilities>
- Manage and optimize system architecture including servers, storage solutions, and network infrastructure to support business needs.
- Implement and maintain virtualization platforms such as VMware and ESXi to ensure scalable and reliable environments.
- Administer operating systems including Windows, Linux, and UNIX, ensuring high availability and security.
- Configure and monitor network components such as firewalls, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, load balancers, and switches to maintain secure connectivity.
- Develop automation scripts using Bash, Shell Scripting, Python, or PowerShell to streamline system management tasks.
- Oversee database systems like MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server for data integrity and performance.
- Design solution architectures utilizing microservices, RESTful APIs, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins or Azure DevOps to support scalable applications.
- Ensure information security by implementing best practices in cybersecurity measures including firewalls, VPNs, and access controls.
- Collaborate with development teams on system design and integration efforts following Agile methodologies within the SDLC framework.
<Experience>
- Proven experience in system administration with a strong understanding of IT infrastructure components such as RAID controllers, SAN storage solutions, and server hardware.
- Hands-on knowledge of system engineering principles including system design, architecture planning, and solution architecture development.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS and Azure for deploying scalable cloud-based solutions.
- Experience working with container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes and virtualization technologies like VMware ESXi or Hyper-V.
- Strong background in computer networking including DNS, DHCP, load balancing techniques, and network security protocols.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash or Python for automation purposes; experience with DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
- Knowledge of NoSQL databases such as Cassandra or MongoDB is advantageous for managing diverse data types efficiently.
- Efficient use of Zapier to connect different platforms and workflows.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies to facilitate collaborative project execution within fast-moving environments. Pay: $30,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
