Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic IT Manager to oversee and coordinate our organization's information technology strategies and operations.

The IT Manager oversees all aspects of the practice's information technology operations, ensuring seamless alignment with clinical and business objectives. This role requires a unique hybrid of technical expertise, and strategic planning capabilities, and is responsible for developing and implementing IT strategies that support a growing multi-location orthopedic practice.

In this role, the IT Manager will have a critical role in managing the technology infrastructure and networks including a hybrid IT environment (cloud and on-premise systems), manages technology needs for multiple locations, ensures HIPAA compliance and cybersecurity, and delivers reliable IT systems that enable exceptional patient care and operational excellence.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

IT Infrastructure Management:

  • Maintain and optimize the practice's IT systems, including servers, networks, and software applications.
  • Oversee hardware and software procurement, ensuring cost-effectiveness and compatibility with the practice's needs.
  • Implement and manage security protocols to protect patient data and sensitive information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Technical Support:

  • Provide technical support to staff members, diagnosing and resolving IT issues promptly.
  • Develop and implement user training programs to improve staff proficiency in using IT systems.

Vendor and EMR Management:

  • Collaborate with IT vendors and service providers to ensure the practice receives high-quality services and support.

IT Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and implement a long-term IT strategy aligned with the practice's goals and objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for IT improvements and cost savings while staying up-to-date with industry best practices.

Disaster Recovery and Data Backup:

  • Establish and maintain comprehensive disaster recovery and data backup procedures to safeguard critical practice data.
  • Conduct regular testing of backup and recovery systems.

Compliance and Security:

  • Stay current with healthcare IT regulations, especially HIPAA, and ensure the practice's IT environment remains compliant.
  • Implement, monitor and manage cybersecurity measures to protect against data breaches and cyber threats.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT management, preferably in a healthcare or medical practice setting.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare IT regulations, including HIPAA compliance.
  • Proficiency in network administration, system administration, and cybersecurity.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Must be willing to travel between various office locations.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time, depending on need

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
