Overview
This is a confidential search for one of our distinguished clients in the Bergen County area. A proven leader in providing technology solutions to luxury retailers. Our client cultivates customer relationships by delivering measurable results on time and within budget.

We are looking for an experienced IT Manager with a strong background in retail technology systems to assist with IT operations and strategy. This role is critical in ensuring reliable performance of in-store systems, seamless customer experiences, and alignment between technology and retail business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and support retail technology systems, including POS platforms, inventory management tools, payment gateways, and CRM software.
  • Manage Connectwise ticket system and work with IT Systems Analyst.
  • Lead the IT Systems Analyst in day-to-day operations, technical support, and infrastructure maintenance across all store and office locations.
  • Plan and execute IT projects, such as hardware/software rollouts, system upgrades, and security enhancements.
  • Ensure system uptime, data backups, and disaster recovery processes are in place and regularly tested.
  • Collaborate with Retail, Finance, and Operations teams to align IT solutions with business needs.
  • Oversee IT budgets, vendor relationships, and license renewals.
  • Provide hands-on support for network, server, and workstation issues as needed.
  • Create and maintain IT documentation, policies, and procedures.
  • Create and maintain vendor and client relations with a focus on business development and company growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent 10 years of experience).
  • 5+ years in IT management or senior IT roles.
  • 3+ years of experience in a retail environment (multi-store preferred).
  • Proven experience with POS systems (e.g., Shopify, Square, Oracle Retail, or NCR).
  • Experience with retail ERP or CRM platforms.
  • Familiarity with store Wi-Fi/IoT tech, mobile POS, or kiosk systems.Proven experience in IT project management with a focus on delivering successful outcomes.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and team leadership skills.
  • Strong knowledge of desktop support, network engineering, DHCP, and network security practices.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint administration and optimization.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with diverse teams across an organization.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Relevant certifications in IT management or information security are preferred but not mandatory.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,160.00 - $110,053.00 per year
