AWS Cloud Architect – GovCloud & FedRAMP
Location: Remote (US-based only)

About the Role
We're hiring an AWS Cloud Architect to design and secure cloud infrastructure across AWS GovCloud and Commercial regions for healthcare technology clients. You'll lead architecture, compliance, and automation initiatives in a FedRAMP/NIST 800-53 environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design secure, scalable AWS architectures (GovCloud & Commercial)
- Configure VPC, Transit Gateway, PrivateLink, Route 53 (PHZ, Resolver, hybrid DNS)
- Build Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and CI/CD pipelines
- Implement FedRAMP/NIST 800-53 controls, IAM, encryption, and ATO documentation
- Architect containerized solutions (EKS/ECS) and serverless (Lambda, API Gateway)
- Ensure reliability, observability (CloudWatch, Prometheus), and cost optimization
- Lead technical teams and mentor engineers
Required Skills
- Deep AWS networking (VPC, Transit Gateway, Route 53 Resolver, PrivateLink)
- Strong Terraform skills for multi-account deployments
- FedRAMP compliance and NIST 800-53 expertise, ATO processes
- Hands-on CI/CD, automation, scripting (Python, Shell)
- Containers (EKS/ECS), serverless (Lambda), security tools (GuardDuty, KMS, Config)
Required Certifications:
- AWS Solutions Architect – Professional
- AWS Security Specialty
- CISSP or CCSP (preferred)
