We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Technical Systems Administrator to lead the design, deployment, and maintenance of our complex IT infrastructure. <Responsibilities>

  • Manage and oversee system administration tasks across Windows, Linux, and UNIX operating systems to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Design and implement scalable system architectures utilizing solution architecture principles, including microservices, service-oriented architecture (SOA), and container orchestration with Kubernetes.
  • Maintain and optimize IT infrastructure components such as RAID controllers, VMware ESXi hosts, AWS cloud environments, Azure platforms, and virtualization technologies.
  • Develop and automate deployment pipelines using DevOps tools like Jenkins, Git, CI/CD processes, scripting languages (Bash, Shell Scripting, Python), and configuration management tools.
  • Configure and manage network security protocols including firewalls, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, load balancing solutions, and information security best practices to safeguard data integrity.
  • Implement database solutions with MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, ensuring high availability through load balancing and replication strategies.
  • Monitor system health using RESTful APIs, REST interfaces for microservices communication, and system management tools to proactively address issues before they impact operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop system design specifications aligned with business needs while adhering to SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) methodologies.
  • Support disaster recovery planning by configuring backup solutions for NoSQL databases like Cassandra or MongoDB and traditional RDBMS.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards by conducting regular security audits and updating policies related to information security.

<Experience>

  • Proven experience in system administration within enterprise IT environments managing diverse operating systems such as Windows Server and Linux distributions.
  • Extensive knowledge of system architecture design including virtualization (VMware ESXi), containerization (Kubernetes), cloud services (AWS & Azure), and networking fundamentals like DNS, DHCP, VPNs.
  • Hands-on experience with solution architecture involving microservices frameworks utilizing RESTful APIs and service-oriented architecture principles.
  • Strong background in database management systems including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle PL/SQL scripts; familiarity with NoSQL databases is a plus.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash or Python for automation; experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with information security practices including firewall configuration, access controls, encryption standards and vulnerability assessments.
  • Knowledge of DevOps methodologies combined with experience working within Agile teams to deliver continuous improvements in system reliability.
  • Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or VMware Certified Professional are advantageous but not mandatory. Pay: $87,617.94 - $101,432.36 per year
