Founding AI Engineer

A rapidly growing seed stage start up who helps organisations adopt AI safely and responsibly by building reliable, secure, and trustworthy AI-driven systems. We’re seeking an AI Engineer who enjoys hands-on development and applied research, owning problems from experimentation through to production.

You’ll be part of a small dedicated team that has real impact on the product and direction of the features. We’re not looking for someone who can do a background research role.

AI Engineer

What you’ll do:

• Prepare and structure datasets for ML training and evaluation
• Adapt and fine-tune large language models using prompt engineering and parameter-efficient methods
• Deploy models into live applications and scalable APIs (Python/Go)
• Evaluate performance, optimise latency and reliability, and design guardrails for generative AI
• Collaborate with product, data, and engineering teams

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science/AI/ML or related field
• ~4+ years’ ML/Deep Learning experience (or PhD)
• Experience with LLMs, NLP, and transformer models
• Strong Python; familiarity with PyTorch/TensorFlow
• Clear communication and collaborative mindset

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $250,000.00 - $300,000.00 per year
