POSITION SUMMARY:
The Database Analyst supports company operations by maintaining data accuracy, assisting with database updates, performing routine data quality checks, and helping internal teams retrieve and interpret data. This junior role focuses on structured data, reporting, and system support ideal for individuals beginning a career in data management.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Database Analyst is responsible for supporting the company’s data systems, including:
- Assist in identifying and resolving data discrepancies, including researching root causes of data issues.
- Perform routine data validation checks to ensure accuracy and completeness of key datasets.
- Support the creation, maintenance, and optimization of databases and related reports that enable the business to manage operations efficiently and make data‑driven decisions.
- Support the management and maintenance of production, supply chain, and quality data within Microsoft D365 and FileMaker (FM) systems to ensure accuracy, consistency, and operational reliability.
- Support entry, correction, and updating of records in internal databases.
- Help generate recurring reports used by teams such as sales, customer service, production, and materials planning.
- Develop foundational understanding of production operations to support accurate database configuration, efficient system‑to‑shop‑floor integration, and reliable reporting.
- Assist with monitoring data workflows including imports, exports, receipts, transfers, and data‑related transactions.
- Participate in periodic audits of database records to ensure completeness and compliance with internal standards.
- Analyze basic data trends to support business decisions and identify opportunities for data quality improvement.
- Assist team members with accessing, interpreting, and utilizing database reports.
- Maintain a clean and organized file structure for digital records and ensure compliance with company standards and QMS requirements.
- Perform other functions and responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
The Database Analyst must at a minimum possess the following:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in business administration, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or related field preferred.
- 0–2 years of experience in data entry, database work, analytics, or administrative systems support.
- Familiarity with basic data management concepts; experience with SQL or database tools is preferred.
- Exposure to generative AI technologies for documentation, reporting, or process‑improvement activities.
- Comfortable learning new systems, including barcoding, ERP modules, and data‑management tools.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite; Excel proficiency preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain accuracy, and work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to work professionally with team members and system users.
- Ability to work under moderate supervision.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The Database Analyst must be able to:
- Most work completed at a computer workstation for extended periods.
- Must be able to operate standard office equipment such as keyboard, mouse, and printer/scanner.
- Wear the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment when required (i.e., safety glasses or side shields, steel-toe footwear, etc.).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
