Schedule: 9am-5pm (4 days onsite, 1 remote)

A Firewall Operations Analyst will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of network firewalls. This will include working tickets for firewall change requests, working with projects to advise from a network security perspective, and troubleshooting network issues that from a firewall perspective. Additional responsibilities include the patching and maintenance of Checkpoint firewalls. Strong knowledge of Checkpoint firewalls, VPN configuration/troubleshooting, and network security best practices is a requirement. Experience with regulatory compliance environments is preferred

Primary Responsibilities:

• Network/firewall troubleshooting, including troubleshooting issues with Checkpoint firewalls and Cisco Routers/Switches.
• Planning, engineering, and implementing of firewall changes.
• Collaborating with Enterprise Architects and business partners for network security/firewall changes.
• Regular attendance of project meetings as a representative of the Firewall Operations team.
• Maintenance and support of network firewalls. Tasks including regular patching, upgrades, and troubleshooting of firewall hardware.
• Adherence to changing management process
• Technical writing to include documentation of firewall changes and documenting standards.
• Regular on-call rotation for firewall related issues.

Requirements

• Recent experience with Checkpoint firewalls (R81.x or higher)
•  Experience with routing and switching (Cisco)
•  Experience with VPN setup, implementation, and troubleshooting. (Experience with Azure and Amazon VPNs with Checkpoint preferred)
• Experience with regulatory compliance environments (NERC preferred)

Pay: $60.00 per hour
