Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Information Technology to lead our IT department. This pivotal role will oversee the development and implementation of technology strategies that align with our business objectives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in IT infrastructure, software development, and information security, with proven leadership abilities to manage a diverse team of IT professionals.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the IT strategy to support organizational goals and enhance operational efficiency.
- Manage and oversee all aspects of IT infrastructure, including cloud computing, network security, and system administration.
- Lead software development initiatives using Agile methodologies, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality applications.
- Implement business continuity planning and disaster recovery strategies to safeguard critical data and systems.
- Oversee vendor management, negotiating contracts and ensuring service level agreements are met.
- Ensure compliance with NIST standards and other regulatory requirements related to information security.
- Foster a culture of innovation by integrating emerging technologies such as AI, machine learning, and data analytics into business processes.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align technology initiatives with business objectives, providing insights on technology trends and risks.
- Manage budgeting for IT projects, ensuring efficient allocation of resources while maximizing return on investment.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to IT staff, promoting professional development and continuous learning.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a senior IT leadership role with a strong understanding of IT governance and management principles.
- Extensive knowledge of various programming languages including Java, C#, Python, JavaScript, PHP, Angular, React, Node.js, and SQL.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure; experience in virtualization technologies like vSphere is a plus.
- Strong background in network administration including MPLS, WAN, VPN configurations, DNS management, VoIP systems, and firewall management.
- Experience with databases such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, MongoDB; knowledge of ETL processes is advantageous.
- Understanding of system design principles along with expertise in application development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
- Excellent analytical skills coupled with strong communication abilities to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with experience in project management and change management practices.
- Knowledge of risk management principles related to IT operations; understanding intellectual property law is beneficial.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $77,548.70 - $93,391.98 per year
