Job description

Job Summary: As a Software Engineer, you will join the Software Development department at Dallara Automobili, a Dallara Group company specialized in design, pre-series production, and testing for the company's three business units (Racing, Automotive, and Aerospace). In this position, you will be responsible for the software development of Dallara Group's in-house solutions, participating in application development projects aimed at automating business processes. You will have the opportunity to work in a young and stimulating environment, using modern technologies ranging from web frameworks to telemetry data analysis tools.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and troubleshoot electrical and electronics systems of the DIL.
  • Assist in development of DiL Simulator and Performance related software.
  • Support the development of the driving simulator from an operational perspective
  • Maintain simulator software and hardware where appropriate
  • Work with Software Engineering Department to develop any of the Dallara software when requested
  • Other duties as assigned.

Technical Skills:

  • Good knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming
  • Good knowledge of one of the following programming languages: C#, C++, GoLang, or similar
  • Knowledge of Git and source code versioning systems
  • Basic knowledge of client-server architectures and web programming
  • Basic knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems

  • Interest in real and sim racing Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs) is encouraged

Education:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with motorsports-grade electronic systems, including data acquisition systems, sensors, and looms

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This position is full-time Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5 pm.

Evening and weekend work may be required.

Travel:

Some travel may be required.

Pay: From $65,000.00 per year
