AZ The Higher Purpose is hiring UX/UI Designers to help create intuitive, accessible, and visually compelling user experiences for government-facing digital platforms. This role is ideal for detail-driven designers passionate about simplifying complex workflows and translating user needs into clear, scalable interface solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to bring modern, human-centered design into the federal contracting space.

Responsibilities

• Design wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups for responsive web and mobile applications
• Collaborate with developers, researchers, and project managers to align design with user needs and technical requirements
• Conduct user interviews, usability testing, and gather feedback to iterate and improve design solutions
• Create and maintain style guides, UI kits, and design documentation to ensure consistency
• Ensure accessibility (WCAG/Section 508 compliance) and usability across government platforms
• Present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders in a clear and persuasive manner
• Support UX strategy and contribute to roadmap discussions based on research and data

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in UX/UI design (web, SaaS, or digital platforms)
• Proficiency in Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar design tools
• Experience with user-centered design, usability testing, and design systems
• Strong visual design skills and attention to detail
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and responsive design best practices
• Familiarity with working in agile or project-based environments
• Government, nonprofit, or mission-driven design experience is a plus

Pay: $88,606.54 - $106,708.95 per year
