Lind Electronics is a leading manufacturer of rugged power solutions for mobile electronics. For over 30 years, Lind has been the main supplier of reliable, quality products to our many worldwide customers. Lind designs and assembles its products on-site at our manufacturing facility in Minnetonka, Minnesota. Our primary products are digitally controlled DC-DC power adapters and battery chargers for ruggedized laptop and tablet computers.

We are seeking a Systems Administrator who will focus on our end users’ experience first. Under the supervision of the General Manager, this person’s primary function is to make sure the company’s users are at the forefront of all IT decisions/functions. They plan, direct, and coordinate the design, installation, and configuration of all client-facing devices. They may be called upon to assist with the server infrastructure directly related to client-side functionality (Helpdesk tools). They are relied upon for the coordination of patching and updating of all client-side assets. This person is always looking for ways to optimize the current platforms and develop what comes next. The person is laser-focused on the configuration, improvement, and overall success of the client-side systems at Lind Electronics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversees installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of end-user workstation hardware, software, and peripheral devices. Resolve end-user hardware and software issues when assistance is needed.
  • Meet with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business requirements, and systems goals, and identify/resolve business systems issues.
  • Develops, configures, and optimizes all client-side system administration.
  • Receive and respond promptly to incoming calls, pages, workflows, and/or emails regarding end-user issues or service requests with the above-mentioned client-side related work.
  • Develop short/long-term plans related to appropriate technology investments for the continued growth of the organization.
  • Assists with developing work instructions, documentation, and policies for the IT department.
  • Works with vendors and/or external organizations for the resolution of issues.
  • Works on any other projects or tasks which are deemed necessary by the IT Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Requires High School diploma/GED
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft and/or Salesforce
  • Relevant certifications in network security, systems, or other related areas are highly encouraged.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work to meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills and the ability to apply these skills to assist end users in solving their day-to-day technology issues.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
