Job description
MES Software Developer (.NET, C#, Angular) - 100% Remote
Location: Remote – must be within 1–2 hours commuting distance of one of the following office locations:
- Corning, NY
- Charlotte, NC
- Vineland, NJ
- Phoenix, AZ
- Hemlock, MI
- Hickory, NC
- Blacksburg, VA
- Keller, TX
- Boston, MA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm (No overtime anticipated)
Duration: Possibility of extension based on demand
Travel: Up to 15% travel possible, based on project needs
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. We do not provide visa sponsorship for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic view and understanding of Siemens Opcenter Execution to lead design and development efforts across the organization
- Design, implement, and support manufacturing solutions in accordance with standard IT practices
- Strong technical understanding and hands-on experience with Siemens Opcenter Execution modeling and development tools including Designer and Portal
- Strong technical understanding and hands-on experience with various technical capabilities like .NET, JavaScript, SQL, Microsoft SQL Server, etc.
- Engage with internal/external customers to analyze requirements from a business and systems perspective by interpreting business goals and objectives and translating them into technical solutions
- Strong understanding of ERP, MES, and shop floor controls and how they integrate to provide a complete solution to the plant
- Ensure that MES work is completed on schedule and that impacts to manufacturing systems are thoroughly documented and communicated by serving as the MES lead on global projects
- Create specifications for developers to use as direction for development
Required Skills
- Education: BS/MS in Computer Science, Systems Management, or IT-related field (minimum required)
- Experience developing in Siemens Opcenter Execution Designer and Portal (2+ years desired)
- Strong leadership and project management skills
- In-depth knowledge of industry best practices in application development
- 5+ years of experience using programming languages such as .NET and C#
- Experience working with IT systems in a 24/7 manufacturing environment
- In-depth knowledge of source code management systems
- In-depth knowledge of relational databases
Desired Skills
- Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle, Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery
- Experience working in a Scrum/Agile team
- Strong communication, presentation, organizational, facilitation, and negotiation skills (including ability to “translate” between business and technology needs)
- Proven track record of implementing IT solutions that meet business demands and are technically sound
- Ability to continuously prioritize and multitask efficiently
- Ability to influence decisions with critical thinking based on experience and understanding of strategic project intent
- Experience with Angular development

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60.00 - $69.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
