MES Software Developer (.NET, C#, Angular) - 100% Remote
Location: Remote – must be within 1–2 hours commuting distance of one of the following office locations:

• Hickory, NC
• Blacksburg, VA

• Boston, MA

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm (No overtime anticipated)
Duration: Possibility of extension based on demand
Travel: Up to 15% travel possible, based on project needs

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic view and understanding of Siemens Opcenter Execution to lead design and development efforts across the organization
• Design, implement, and support manufacturing solutions in accordance with standard IT practices
• Strong technical understanding and hands-on experience with Siemens Opcenter Execution modeling and development tools including Designer and Portal
• Strong technical understanding and hands-on experience with various technical capabilities like .NET, JavaScript, SQL, Microsoft SQL Server, etc.
• Engage with internal/external customers to analyze requirements from a business and systems perspective by interpreting business goals and objectives and translating them into technical solutions
• Strong understanding of ERP, MES, and shop floor controls and how they integrate to provide a complete solution to the plant
• Ensure that MES work is completed on schedule and that impacts to manufacturing systems are thoroughly documented and communicated by serving as the MES lead on global projects
• Create specifications for developers to use as direction for development

Required Skills

• Education: BS/MS in Computer Science, Systems Management, or IT-related field (minimum required)
• Experience developing in Siemens Opcenter Execution Designer and Portal (2+ years desired)
• Strong leadership and project management skills
• In-depth knowledge of industry best practices in application development
• 5+ years of experience using programming languages such as .NET and C#
• Experience working with IT systems in a 24/7 manufacturing environment
• In-depth knowledge of source code management systems
• In-depth knowledge of relational databases

• Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle, Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery
• Experience working in a Scrum/Agile team
• Strong communication, presentation, organizational, facilitation, and negotiation skills (including ability to “translate” between business and technology needs)

• Experience with Angular development

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60.00 - $69.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
