Role description

8+ years of IT experience and minimum of 5+ years of experience on Azure Database Migration with technically guided, managed and governed the team.

Primary skills:

  • Understanding customer DB SQL server landscape
  • Configuring SQL Server HA/DR (FCI, AG) in Azure with multiple subnets and multiple regions, Availability set
  • Configuring and Administering Security/Policies/Resource Governing/Azure Key Vault
  • Migrating SQL Server from On-Premises to Azure Cloud using DMA, DMS, Azure Data Studio, Log shipping, Backup & restore and various other migration methods.
  • Work with Internal stakeholders, Customer stakeholders and Project Managers to understand the migration requirements and provide solutions accordingly.
  • Driving the cloud Solutioning Azure activities for large complex migration
  • Plan Storage and Capacity Management and create logical models and build physical models.
  • Installing and configuring SQL Server all the version (200x to 2022)
  • Hands on experience on Windows and SQL server’s issues and troubleshooting.

Secondary Skills:

  • Design, implement and operate database systems for performance and reliability in Azure.
  • On-Prem/Cloud upgrade of SQL Server from Legacy version to latest versions in Azure
  • Good knowledge in T-SQL scripting & PowerShell script
  • Good understanding of Database Performance using various tools
  • Conforming to client compliances and expectations

Certifications (Good to have)

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Associate
  • DP-300: Administering Microsoft Azure SQL Solutions
  • AZ-305: Designing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions

Benefits

Compensation range: $ 80,000.00 to 90,000.00 per year
