Applications are welcome for a Data Scientist position at ETH Zurich. The selected candidate will join a team of researchers working on projects in computer science and social science.

Minimum skill requirements:

• Python or R programming for data science applications.
• English fluency.

Other valuable skills:

• Machine learning and natural language processing.
• Training, deploying, and prompting large language models.
• Working with relational databases and SQL programming.
• Causal inference research design, econometric analysis, and Stata programming.
• Economic analysis and formal modeling.
• Excellent English writing ability.
• Academic literature research.

The appointment is for at least one year and up to three years (contingent on good performance). The starting date is flexible and will be determined jointly with the selected candidate and also subject to visa application timing. Remote work is possible.
