Position: DevOps Engineer

Location: Montvale, NJ (5 days onsite)

Job Description –

We’re seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Engineering Lead with 5–6 years of experience to manage deployment operations, lead WAR rooms, and drive CI/CD excellence. This role demands strong coordination skills, technical depth in DevOps practices, and above-average soft skills to navigate cross-functional teams and high-pressure environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Deployment Planning & Execution: Own end-to-end deployment strategies across environments
• WAR Room Leadership: Conduct and lead WAR rooms during critical releases or incidents
• Team Coordination: Liaise with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure smooth delivery
• Progress Monitoring: Track, analyze, and publish deployment progress and Weekly Status Reports (WSRs)
• Interdependency Management: Identify and manage cross-team and cross-service dependencies
• Shift Handover: Ensure seamless transitions between shifts with clear documentation and communication
• Roster Management: Publish and maintain team rosters to ensure coverage and accountability
• CI/CD Oversight: Drive continuous integration and deployment best practices using modern toolchains
• Soft Skills Leadership: Demonstrate strong communication, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 10 years of experience in engineering or DevOps roles
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps)
• Experience with deployment tools and container orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Helm)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure)
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage high-stakes deployments

Strong documentation and reporting skills

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $65.00 - $70.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
