Database Administrator is needed for a full-time position. This is a key role in managing the stability, security, and functionality of several infrastructure components of the business system. You will handle all aspects of database administration, enterprise content management, and supporting developmental operations.

Hours: Full-time

Location: Oahu: Honolulu

Pay: $60,000 to $75,000 Yearly

Additional Responsibilities:

• Handle database administration
• Create, maintain, and monitor databases
• Handle database patches and upgrades
• Tune databases to optimize system performance
• Create and maintain scripts to automate backups
• Monitors logs to ensure successful backups
• Recover data in the event of a database or hardware failure
• Write scripts to automate data replication to offsite locations
• Query power user that can pivot into basic database infrastructure management
• Security management (create users)
• Participate in evaluation of security framework
• Assist in creating and maintaining IT security policies and procedures
• Participate in annual security assessment and annual IT security policy review
• Deploy development projects to production environment and web servers
• Prepares for and participates in drills to test disaster recovery plan

Required Education and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in information systems or computer science; or equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience
• Minimum two years in application development - (Oracle, Postgres, SQL Server)
• Minimum two year of experience as an Oracle database administrator or education/DBA certified
• Ability to analyze and solve complex problems
• Sharp eye for details and accuracy
• Ability to handle confidential information
